
Syreeta
KHAN
Syreeta is a hardworking and passionate young woman, with an innate love for learning and education. She is currently pursuing a BBA in Management and Information Systems with a minor in Sustainability and a minor in English from the University of Portland's Pamplin School of Business. She maintains a 3.8 GPA and has been on the Dean's List every semester. Syreeta discovered a passion for education through her experiences as a student as well as her work in teaching and tutoring. She enjoys working with children in various environments.
As a student, Syreeta has always excelled in her work. She attended Arnold O. Beckman High School which is ranked as one of the top 10% of California's public schools. Throughout her high school career, she maintained a 3.85 GPA with well-rounded coursework with the majorly consisting of Honors and AP classes. She also participated in multiple extra-curricular activities such as the JSA Debate Club and was the Founder of the Save the Bees Organization at her school. Syreeta's time in high school taught her the importance of a strong education and amplified her passion for learning.
Syreeta also managed part-time work during all four years of high school as a tutor for the Tustin Unified School District. She worked with kids of all different ages and skill levels, not only as academic support, but also as a motivator. Syreeta is dedicated to making her love for education contagious for the kids she works with in order for them to obtain academic success.
Currently, in addition to pursuing a business degree and two minors, Syreeta has worked at her university's administrative writing center as an essay tutor for her peers. She continuously seeks work where she can provide educational support to those who need it. With COVID-19, she has also gained experience tutoring in the virtual world.
